About seven years ago I was struggling with headaches and heartburn. I was diagnosed with stage 1 hypertension. To me it sounded like a death sentence, because my mother died as a result of high blood pressure. The doctor told me it could be controlled.

The medication was 25 milligram of Captomax, to be taken once a day. I took this for a week and monitored my blood pressure 24 hours a day, the doctor could not see much of a change. She increased the dosage to 50 milligram. This assisted me in controlling my blood pressure.

This continued for 3 years. We moved to New Zealand and we joined Faith Covenant Centre. During the Sunday morning service, Ps. Vernon taught a message on “What is rightfully ourselves when we partake of the Body and Blood of Jesus”.

I knew at that point that I was healed. I can still hear the words” by the stripes of Jesus you are healed” . That same day I stopped taking my blood pressure pills. At that stage we were in the process of immigrating to New Zealand and had to undergo a medical check for immigration purposes.

 

This was scheduled for two weeks after the day that the Lord healed me. The night before the medical check my wife said to me” Why don’t you take a pill just to play  it safe. I said to her “it won’t be necessary” by the stripes of Jesus I am healed. The day of the medical check I wasn’t scared at all, because I knew what I knew. With no surprise the results showed that my blood pressure was normal. After this medical check I had undergo 2 more medical checks and yes you know the answer, it is still normal.
